Host a Successful Virtual Holiday Party
Are you hoping to host a virtual holiday party? We have some tips for you.
In the world of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a change in how we communicate with one another as a society. From Zoom meetings with your office team, to drive-by birthday parades, and limited holiday gatherings.
We think some of the best virtual platforms for hosting a party are Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom.
Microsoft offers "together mode" to make you feel more connected during a holiday party.
So, what should you do first to host a fun and successful party?
Send out an enticing invitation. You can find some free virtual invites by using Punchbowl or by designing your own on Canva. You should include information about the time, a link to the virtual event, a dress code, and fun games that can be played.
We hosted a Secret Santa gift exchange. You can find a link to do that here!
Since we have a few new team members this year, one of the other activities we played was a "get to know you" holiday questionnaire. The idea was to talk about your favorite holiday traditions, favorite Christmas meals, and your favorite holiday jokes. Helpful hint: make sure your guest know to press their "Mute" button when they are not speaking.
Be sure to take screenshots to remember the event in the future.
Enjoy and Happy Holidays from your family at ASG 365
